The Chainsword is a close combat weapon found in Chapter 2 in the single-player campaign of Space Marine. It will permanently replace the Combat Knife, although it can be swapped for a Power Axe or Thunder Hammer later.
Description[]
The standard melee weapon for a Space Marine, with motorized monomolecular-edged teeth capable of slicing through armour, flesh, and bone. Fast and responsive, it is capable of sawing through a variety of enemies.
Strategy[]
Of the three main melee weapons, this one is the fastest, but deals the least amount of damage per strike. This makes it useful against weaker opponents like the Slugga Boyz and Renegade Militia, but also makes it inefficient against strong opponents like the Chaos Space Marines.
