The Power Axe is a close combat weapon found in Chapter 5, just before you meet up with Corporal Antioch, in the single-player campaign of Space Marine. It can be obtained in the demo as well.

Of the three main melee weapons, this one is middle of the road in terms of damage and speed. Effective against the vast majority of enemies you will face, making it a good choice for any situation.
